HOW PACS WORK
A Parent Advisory Council (PAC) helps strengthen the connection between families and the school community by providing opportunities for parents and guardians to share perspectives, support school activities and contribute to a positive school experience for students. The PAC's role is advisory, while decisions about the management and operation of the school remain the responsibility of the school district and school administration.
A PAC is established for the school and conducts its affairs through elected officers and bylaws, under section 8 of the School Act.
ABOUT OUT PAC
We would like to acknowledge and give thanks to the First Peoples of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (hun-ki-meen-um) language group on whose traditional and unceded territories we live, learn and play on.
At McNeely, we have an incredible community that comes together to support our school and our students. Often, our support comes in the form of financial assistance, but we are also here to listen to our community and share feedback with the school on school programs and activities. Our top priority is to listen to the needs of our school.
The PAC holds regular meetings for the community to come together and discuss what we are working on and the program we are supporting. All families are part of the PAC and we encourage new families to come out and get involved.
